director's statement:
i wanted to tell the truth as any documentary filmmaker does. i really had no idea what to expect, i didn't know if i had a story. i only had two days to shoot i had to take a leap of faith and trust that everything would come together. in the end i came to find that the faith and trust that i had to reach so far to obtain was the very fabric of these children's existence. it is their fuel and i suddenly felt that i was the disadvantaged one. i realized in these children's lives is something i have to reach for constantly. i stepped into the project with such uncertainty and walked away with inspiration. this opportunity found me serendipity.
